Truly Set Apart for JESUS.

(It is time to make your election sure. Make sure that you know the Lord. Make sure that you have chosen whom you are going to serve -because truly Jesus is coming soon.)

Do you know that you are special to the Lord? God has a plan for you life that only you can fulfill.

Psalms 4:3 says "But know that the Lord hath set apart him that is godly for himself": the Lord will hear when I call unto him. You notice that the one the Lord has set apart for himself is 'godly'.

This person is saved, sanctified and Holy Ghost filled.

He is the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus.

He has been justified by faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.

He is the redeemed of the Lord.

He has put on the Lord Jesus Christ.

He makes no provision for the flesh in that he walks in the Spirit.

He has the love of God shed abroad in his heart by the Holy Ghost.

He is kingdom minded and mind not the things of this world which are temporal.

He is an overcomer.

He loves the brethren.

He knows that his sins are forgiven and he forgives others their transpresses against him.

He comes behind in no good thing.

He knows his place in the body of Christ.

The list can go on. But we have been created for his praise and glory and we glorify Christ in our bodies and in all manner of conversation.

The Lord has set many apart who do not understand what it means. To be set apart is to be distinguished from the rest of the world. People should be able to look at you and know that there is something different about you. You should not blend in with the world - doing as they do. For instance - they are indulging in ungodly conversation; are you sitting there laughing as though you are enjoying it as much as they are? Some jokes are very degrading and mocking. Are you there listening to the ungodly fun they had the night before at the club or some house party you know that you would not be found dead at? Do you show love to some unfortunate person down on their 'luck' so to speak or are you poking fun at them as the world sometimes does. Are you a compassionate person? Do you weep with them that mourn and rejoice with them that rejoice? Are you always ready to lend a helping hand if the need arrives. Do you offer prayer to the sick and bewildered?

Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world. 2 Timothy 1:9. God has called us with an holy calling. This call sets us apart from the world that we should not look or act like them. We are to be walking examples of Jesus. We are created in his image to be like him. We are to imitate him. We are to do what we see him do. Our conversation should suggest that we have been with Jesus. We are talking about his set apart ones.

1Peter 1:13 - 16 says - Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ;

As obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts in your ignorance:

But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation:

Because it is written, Be ye holy: for I am holy.

So make up in your minds that you are going to be like Jesus who has set you apart. There is a reward in being obedient to the call. There is a hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ.

Do not let any one be disrespectful to you with all of that ungodly conversation. Be a respectable person. Demand  the respect you deserve as a child of the King.

A godly person or a person that has been set apart by God is always heard when he calls upon the name of the Lord. The Lord knows how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished. Like the Psalmist says - 'He will hear me when I call.'
